This lesson covers the different forms of narrative voice. Only one form of narrative voice was used in 'The Suit', so an example of first person narration is taken from another story. The key skills that this lesson develops are enabling learners to identify the form of narrative voice that has been used and to comment on the effect that it has created. After you have shown this lesson ask learners to identify the form of narrative voice that has been used in the novel you are studying in class. Then ask them to discuss the reasons why the author may have chosen this form of narrative and the effects which it has created.
