We discuss the effects of variable amounts of light, carbon dioxide and temperature on the rate of photosynthesis. We look at the role of carbon dioxide enrichment, optimum light and optimum temperatures in greenhouse systems to improve crops. Finally, we consider the role of ATP as an important energy carrier in the cell.
