On October 19 of 2017, the University of Florida agreed to allow Richard Spencer to speak at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Florida campus. Quoted from Wikipedia, Richard Bertrand Spencer is an American white supremacist. He is president of the National Policy Institute, a white supremacist think tank, as well as Washington Summit Publishers. The week he was to speak sparked active student protest, and this interview was one of those collected as a record by the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program from individuals who chose to actively engage prior to and during the event. The collection is housed at the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at the University of Florida, called NNUF (No Nazi’s at UF) Produced by the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program University of Florida Program director Paul Ortiz, PhD. 352 392-7168 http://oral.history.ufl.edu 241 Pugh Hall University of Florida Cat.
